Standards organizations

 

Standards organizations can be classified by their role, position and the extent of their influence on the local, national, regional and global standardization arena.

By geographic designation, there are international, regional, and national standards bodies.

By technology or industry designation, there are standards developing organizations and also standards setting organizations also known as consortia.

Standards organizations may be governmental, quasi-governmental or non-governmental entities.


The language of today’s commerce is standards. Moving in accordance with standards is the key to success of any business. .

This means that every industry/sector needs to be literate in the field of standards in order to compete in a global economy and achieve the short- and long-term goals.

To reach this objective, RMRC has designed a framework that its employees can use to stay up-to-date with standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to their positions and tasks.

Our library and information center is responsible for providing the latest editions of required standards to the labs and the department of education has a comprehensive program for carefully studying standards both for internal as well as external services.

In addition, in a close collaboration with ISIRI of Iran, RMRC is actively involved in studying the standards and standardization procedures and a team of experts at RMRC are focused on international activities on standards’ strategies and development.
