This sector of RMRC is the main laboratory in which the chemical composition of materials and metallic parts is determined. This task is performed by utilizing state-of-the-art OES devices, skilled experts, a large archive of up to date standards, and RM samples. Moreover, OES laboratory provides the most accurate and quality results by using other available methods such as wet chemical analysis, XRF, EDS, etc. And participating in interlaboratory comparisons.

  Available services in Optical Emission Spectroscopy Laboratory :
1- Analysis of :
• Iron-based samples: carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, fire resistant steels, super alloys, tool steels. Conventional and cast iron alloys.

• Nonferrous samples: aluminum, copper, titanium, cobalt and nickel-based samples.
• Small or narrow iron-based or nickel-based samples and cast iron samples in form of remelted discs
• Weld's cap and root.

2- Measurment of :
• Residual magnesium in ductile iron disks which are taken as sample from molten iron by the customer.
• Elements in iron-based alloys such as carbon, silicon, nitrogen.
• Elements in nickel-based alloys such as chrome, molybdenum, boron, zirconium, hafnium and tantalum.
• Elements in aluminum-based alloys such as silicon, copper, iron, vanadium, lithium and phosphorus.
• Elements in copper-based alloys such as lead, zinc, zirconium, cobalt, beryllium, cadmium, phosphorus, arsenic and antimony.
• Elements in titanium-based alloys such as aluminum, vanadium, carbon and palladium.
3- Determination of :
• Type and nature of material ?
• Alloys which were used to produce the sample, according to creditable references
4- Nondestructive analysis (based on customer needs) even heavy and bulky samples or in location of customer.
5- Performing the tests in presence of the customer or their representative.
