Given the country's increasing need for metal parts laboratories and to provide scientific, research, and consulting services in the selection of metal materials, production methods, and physical and mechanical properties, optimization, and reverse engineering of parts, the Metallography Laboratory, with 43 years of experience and skilled experts, is ready to provide services to the country's industries. At the Razi Metallurgy Research Center, structural analysis from images obtained from the microstructure of various parts is performed.

Microscopic and macroscopic examinations are carried out using optical and stereo microscopes at various magnifications (25x to 1000x) and by image analysis software (Image Analyzer). The image analysis software (Image Analyzer) is capable of calculating phase fraction percentages, grain size, coating thickness, graphite size and distribution in cast irons, steel cleanliness, and impurity levels. In addition to metallography tests, metal hardness testing is also performed in this laboratory. Hardness testing, due to its high speed and no long preparation, is a rapid method for determining mechanical properties of parts. Hardness measurements can also be used to control and correctly identify microscopic and macroscopic structures and determine the heat treatment cycles applied to the parts. Research hardness tests can be conducted without destroying the part. Hardness testing, considering various types, scales, and applied forces depending on alloy type, dimensions, mechanical and physical properties, is applied to a wide family of metals.
